1st day work

Ok..As requested, big big front..haha..Lol.. I had a fulfilling 1 week break at home.Had great food and watched teebie and sleep like nobody biz but nothing good is for long..Lol.. Started work today!Initially, I feel like a primary school kid all over again cause i need to wake up when the moon is still hanging on the sky and tomorrow onwards, its worst.I going to wake up at 5am.Great.Wake up early and hopefully sleep early.Think im 'lucky' cause i got posted to production (hull) whereby i need to walk around and i dont think i will ever be in an office..It was a long morning of briefing and playing games.Yeah i won lots of m&ms and a beach mat (limited edition as said by the hr guy cos its a free gift for family day at 2004), 12 pathetic souls playing stopid get-to-know-you game.I dont know why we need to do that cOs we got posted to different places and if you think it means 1 cubicle to another different or 1 level difference, you are wrong.I really mean san ba la far from each other.Waha.They went like tuas shipyard or singmarine while 4 of us stayed at fels.Waited like a bloddy 40mins for my overalls to be signed cos i dunhave employment number.I looked like i went shopping can cos i got 2 big bags of overalls and a beachmat.Hohoho. Lunch at caferia is a horror.Simple reason.A freaking big place only got a small caferia with 2 stalls.Best.Food is cheap but well, i think by the end of this week, we will get sick of the food.Best.And the culture is, sleep during lunch time.Hohoho.All lights off in office and u see people sleeping and at the production areas, the workers just sleep on top of those raw steelwork.Amazing, snoring and all sorts of farni sleeping postures.This reminds me of nursery and kindergarden days, the afternoon naps.Ha.I was told they worked till very late so they are very tired and i heard storeis of people broke down or stressed out or resign cos work is too tough.Bleah. After lunch is another story, this time, i feel like im on a 10 weeks slimming program,hohoho.I like..Walk around at the yard abit and trying hard not to fall asleep while i walk and listen.Goodness, the safety googles fog 1 lar and my nose builds up sweat within minutes.Bestee..Before i can even finish that small part of the hull, i was called back to the hr.Had 2 freaking long briefing on safety and sercuity.Damn sleepy lar but the security department is damn cool there!Its like CSI and they do all sorts of investigation.And the most recent one is the investigation of a 6 million loss of materials.. So cool that we feel like switching to that department.Hohoho.And the hr tan said something quite farni.She receive an email from a guy who just finished his o levels and he asked her whether he should go into poly or jc if he wants to join the company and what sort of course he should go into.This is not farni, he added another line.I want to go into a course whereby i can look like christoper lee in the peak show next time.Hohoho.And she replied, you can try the acting courses at tcs..But we thought he should go jail first.Lol..No joke, i had a super kan cheong last 20 mintues cos i cant find my locker and i dunwan to miss the company bus.So i end up dumping my stuff,helmet, earplug, safety belt, 2 overalls, safety boots all under my mentor desk without asking him.Im bad but he looks nice.At least i swap my card to go out and manage to change out of my overall.Something to be happy about, i can waer anything to go work lar cos i will be in my overalls everyday.Hohoho.So i planning to waer shorts and tank sleeveless so that i can just wear my overall over it.Best..AH..sO MANY Rules there and seeminlgy interesting culture and the male dominated envoirnment really means uncles whistling across the yard.Damn farni.Girls on yard are precious gems lor..Hohoho.Bt i look stopidly dumb in the overall.Hohoho.There are more workshops to attend this week and another foreman wants to bring me to duno c what thing ( only know will get sun tan) and have an excursion (visiting other yards) next week.Hohoho.Im kinda looking forward to everything but....I hope i find my locker tml without getting a scolding, change in and out of my overall faster, have a better lunch and a less kan cheong before end-work 15 minutes time...God knows what kind of work im going to do..Too much stuff for me to put into words...I can only say, big companies really work differently..I hope i can sleep tonite...Labels: exciting
